Best Legendary, Small & Exclusive Nightclub in Buenos Aires
Tequila Club
Costanera Norte & Pampa
Tequila is probably the most Exclusive Nighclub in Buenos Aires, Reopened last year after a few years closed due to City Hall Permits issues. TQ’s Owner Osvaldo Brucco and Legendary PR Paola Provato are back in BA’s hottest nightlife. Totally renovated and Inspired in a Paris Cabaret, this spot decorated by Damian Giorgiutti it’s just Stunning. Same thing happens with the crowd, the hottest guys and girls from Buenos Aires elite ( Including local Celebrities and some international random Visits like Lenny Kravitz, Naomi Campbell, Mick Jagger and Claudia Schiffer) have been choosing this spot as their place which makes TQ a sort of “ club” where everybody knows each other. The crowd is top-notch on most nights given the strict door policy that keeps the blazer-wearing tourists and dressed-up teenagers away. The music includes vintage cuts of electronic music and global beats. Don’t even think in arriving before 2 AM because you will be the only one inside. Tip: Try to go to Gardiner Restaurant for late late dinner next door ( Same Owners) and then move to TQ for Drinks and Dance, as locals do. For Booking a Table just contact us, We’ll get you in!
Best Chic Bar to zip a "Surfing Bastard" and listen to good Music
Isabel
Uriarte 1664 Palermo Soho
Juan Santa Cruz, Former owner of tres Chic Restaurant Casa Cruz opened an Exclusive bar next door to the restaurant in Palermo Soho and he named it Isabel after his Grandmother’s Memory. When you enter this modern and Stylish Bar ( Inspired in the NY’s Whitney Museum) you will need to exchange your Pesos or Dollars for their Isabelinas Bills, With 15 of these you can get a Stella Artois and with 30 you will get a top Shelf Drink. Expect a mix crowd of Hip Locals and Young International Tourists ( The type which know their way wherever City they are) sharing drinks & music and why not, elegant cruising. The owner traveled to NY, London and Paris and brought the best music and Inspiration he could find, avoiding the too dated Electronic beats and moving a bit to the rock/ Hip Hop/ Funk sidewalk of the Music. Prince, Outkast, Michael Jackson or Roisin Murphy could be playing in the amazing Sound System the Same night in great armony. The all mirrowed restrooms where girls and boys share the sinks are the best point to meet someone from the opposite sex ( or same sex depending on your tastes). Argie Model and Beauty Florencia Gomez Cordoba is the PR of the place and Tato Giovanelli ( Former Faena Hotel) is the Superstar Bartender in charge of the top of the line cocktail menu which includes the Number 1 Seller babe “Surfing Bastard” (Bourbon, Gin, lima y Ginger Ale). The place is open from 9 PM and it gets busy pretty early ( for Argentinean Standards) so it’s the perfect place for After dinner Drinks ( Closed on Mondays)
Loosely translated, the name of the restaurant and strap line tells you there is much about fresh meats and seafood cooked over hot coals. Fervor de Buenos Aires is also Borges first book of poems about his native city, which we presume is the main thrust of the theme. The branding is clever and the kitchen does not disappoint.Located at Posadas 1519, Fervor is a wonderfully modern, large and upscale restaurant, run like a precision clock, with attentive, but relaxed service. The restaurant has oodles of charm and great ambiance. In our modest opinion, Fervor is one of the finest Argentine kitchens serving meat and fish cooked over carbon in the City of Buenos Aires – that is a big, big claim as there are so many, but after fives meals it has our vote. The restaurant is part of a group of restaurants that include Sottovoce (not our favorite), the better-known Italian pasta restaurants located in Recoleta and Puerto Madero.
Best Steak
Cabana Las Lilas
Alicia Moreau de Justo 516 Dique 4
- Puerto Madero
Tel:
4313-1336
Eating Steak at Cabana Las Lilas is like taking tea at the Ritz. You know you are being overcharged but somehow you are glad you came . The atmospheric dockside location helps as does the exemplary service and jumbo wine list- 2 sommeliers are always on hand to help you out but what really matters is the meat . Whatever ends up on your plate from whatever part of the cow will be cooked as requested and unforgettably tender. The bill is memorable too, 50 pesos for a bife de Chorizo, while extortionate by local standards, is small change for an expense account or a foreign credit card.

Best Fusion
Osaka
Soler 5608 - Palermo
Tel:
4775-6964
Osaka is what every fusion restaurant should be. A hit in its hometown Lima, Peru, the chain’s adroit synthesis of Peruvian and Japanese cuisine has been wowing BA since it opened in 2005.Try the addicted “tiraditos” in the white fish ceviche style or the pink salmon mango style. The design scheme is as tastefully eclectic as the cuisine, with Peruvian rain sticks sharing wall space with Japanese wood block art. If you don’t want a full meal, nibble at the bar over a peerless Pisco Sour or go mano a mano with the Sushi man next to the open kitchen. The wine list includes some great mid-rage whites from Bodegas Terrazas and Catena Zapata.
Best Tapas Bar
Milion
Parana 1048 - Recoleta
Tel: 4815-9925
Milion’s Stunning transformation from stately town Mansion to the 21st Century “it” Bar has made it an emblem of cool in today’s BA society.
While maintaining its original lavish form the classic architecture is offset by dim lighting, cutting edge art displays and projected visuals, bringing the space in line with its new stylish clientele. Given its popularity, Milion’s high ceiling rooms are often littered with reservation cards making it a nightmare to find a seat but somewhere between the first floor, terrace, picturesque garden and marble staircase you’ re bound to find a place to enjoy the Milion Experience.
Best Wine List
SUCRE
Sucre 676 - Belgrano
Tel:

The stunning interior of Sucre is the last word in neo industrial design, its centerpiece a bunker wine cellar and kaleidoscopically colored ceiling high bar. Celebrity chef Fernando Trocca jazzes up local classics with pan Latin flavors like diced mango, papya dressings and jalapenios. The 18 page wine list has few rivals in the city.

Best Cheap Lunch
OUI OUI

Oui Oui offers honest, down to earth Gallic fare of the kind the French actually eat as opposed to just write about. Rocio Garcia Orza does wonders with hot filled croissants, fresh baguettes, vichyssoise and pan au chocolat, all options hastily scribbled on chalkboard in a colorful environment of dried flowers and pink wood tables. Its perfect also for weekend brunch but get there early, they don’t take reservations.
